A carbon dioxide (CO2) system extinguishes any type of fire in areas not occupied by personnel and allows work to resume in a very short time, it does not leave any residue in the environment after use. Applications include total flooding systems for superficial or deep fires, local use systems or systems for manual operation. CO2 systems are valuable and reliable fire prevention tools with a wide variety of uses. Its excellent extinguishing properties provide a decrease in oxygen concentration which hinders combustion and has a cooling effect.
Odourless, colourless and non-conductive, carbon dioxide acts rapidly and extinguishes the fire in a few seconds.
